The BP3, located outside Stephenville Texas, has been operated by our family for over 75 years. Purchased by Elton and Natell Bills in 1942, it was cultivated into a peanut, vegetable, dairy, and pig farm to serve the greater Cross Timbers area. 10 years later, the Grade A dairy became the focus with Holstein, Brown Swiss, and Jersey cows chosen for their milk’s rich, creamy taste. In 1992 the dairy operation was retired on The BP3, replaced by Red Angus beef. Today Linda Bills Powell and husband Bill live on the farm and welcome three new generations of family and friends to pull up a rocking chair on the back porch, and enjoy the view of this special country with native pecan trees, blackberry brambles, mustang grape vines, dove, turkey, deer, cranes, jackrabbits, ducks – and sunsets like no other.
Our Beef
Our small farm raises all natural, Red Angus beef. No hormones , antibiotics, or additives. Our cattle are free ranged on Coastal Bermuda and pasture grasses rich in minerals from the loamy clay soil native to the area. No pesticides or fertilizers are ever used. Our cattle have plenty of room to freely roam, with ample shade, breeze and the fresh water of Hawk’s Creek to keep them happy and healthy. The steers are finished for 90-120 days on locally milled grain, formulated to ensure the marbling and texture you’ve come to expect in great tasting beef. We then partner with a 2nd generation family-owned meat processor to humanely harvest, dry age, complete your custom cuts, and vacuum seal with labeling for optimal freezer storage for up to 2 years. Our family is proud to offer our Red Angus Beef in quantities of 1/2, 1/4, or 1/8 cow. Since there is a limited amount of meat on each animal, the larger amount of beef purchased, the more options you will have on cuts. Thank you for supporting Texas farmers.

We offer a straight-forward order process and pricing. You will be charged a price per pound at actual hanging weight, with the weights listed in the chart above as estimates based on previous processing. A 50% deposit is due at time of order, and the remainder due at delivery. All meat is vacuum sealed, labeled, and frozen to last 2 or more years.
